Implement Simple Alternatives in Everyday Life

All of the solutions listed above involve time, equipment, and money, which can often be too taxing on the common person. But not to worry— there’s plenty of other ways to be environmentally conscious, while somewhat still being able to keep the same lifestyle.

A great deal of people buy food that’s cooked outside of the home, prepackaged, or made to order (sometimes all). The food is always placed in a plastic bin or cup, intended to be a one-time use container. Popular drinks like bubble tea are always given in a plastic cup, with plastic straws and plastic lids, significantly contributing to plastic waste.

By encouraging businesses and customers to bring their own reusable straws and cups (such as the one in the picture), the excessive amount of plastic waste will go down. Businesses won’t have to spend on branded cups. If they really wanted to brand themselves, they could do so through merchandise. Not only would that make more money than buying cups with the business’ logo on it, dealing with plastic cups and other plastic containers would go away.
